Thanks For Being So Stupid ~

A ‘friend’ of mine wrote this:

WORST VIRUS EVER —CNN ANNOUNCED PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!! A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored. This virus acts in the following manner: It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title: “A Card for You”. As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk.

The world is full of stupid arseholes. Read above – It’s written by a stupid arsehole. If you believe it… you need salvation. If you don’t, just keep it that way.

Maybe this is one of the stupidest scam ever. They use ‘sources’ like CNN. Hell, anytime people can go there can check, it’s fake. Uuuu, “the most destructive virus ever”…uuuu.. scaree.. I’m so scared that I’m switching to Mac OS X. Fuck-lah, they dun know how to trick people.

This is what people call ‘hoax’. They wrote ‘panicky’ stuffs and ask everyone to forward it to ur friends. Then, your friends is very stupid and very concern about you, so they forward it to you. No, it’s not wrong to concern about your friends but it’s wrong to be stupid and being ‘stupidized’ by other people (especially ur friend). These hoaxes comes in various flavours. Let’s see:

Urgent: Please Forward! Hello to everyone from the Hotmail Headquarters! This is just a little test to see who is actively using their email account and in effect deleting all inactive users accounts. This process will make the whole site faster and easier to use for the active users. Now on to what to do with this email. All you have to do is forward this on to at least 10 registered Hotmail users. If you don’t forward this on within 48 hours of reading it, your account will be deactivated momentarily until you contact Hotmail Headquarters.

Dear Hotmail User,
We understand that you have previously recieved many messages that have state the colising of accounts not being used within our servers. This message, however, is your final warning. Within this message is encoded a small program that will located and debug your account when sent to fifteen other Hotmail users. If you do not send this message to fifteen Hotmail users within 24 hours of recieving this message, your account will be PERMANETLY SHUT-DOWN. When and if you send this, we herebygrant that you will no longer recieve such messages as this one.

We realize that this process is becoming an annoyance, however, this is the final message you will recieve from the Hotmail Announcement staff. Thank you for you time and cooperation.

There’s one time they said something about the non-halal issue about the hot-dogs and burgers in Malaysia.

If you see anything like this, do the world a favour, please: delete it on site. Don’t (JUST DON’T… SERIOUSLY) forward it although you know it stupid and fake. Don’t waste the bandwidth.

Let’s say there’s 30 friends in your IM list. Each of your friends also have 30 friends… and so on. You get the idea right on how much bandwidth wasted around the world rite?

Well, dun feel so guilty if you forwarded one of these to ur friends. They’re lotsa IT iliterate people outhere. What can you do? If you receive one of this things, you can start your own research about it. From now on, stop forwarding uninteresting stuffs, including stuffs that says “send this to 500 friends and someone might fall in love with you” crap thingamajig watever. It really annoys people.. especially me, seriously. Some concerned educated people will feel pity that’s ur been stupidized…
