Melaka to KLCC : Without Paying Teh Tolls!

Have you ever tried getting to KLCC from Melaka without paying the toll? I’m talking about driving there, not taking a bus. Yep, some 4 lifeless MMU student did it: Drive up to KL with a kancil ( with spoiled air-cond ) using trunk road/alternative route/jalan kampung.

Okay, as you can guess. I’m one of the 4 lifeless people, of course. Each of us pay RM10 for petrol. That’s all. We are not going to pay any single toll. These lifeless students are Me, Aaron, Muharram and Carl.

It’s 12am midnight and we’re off with my car. My poor car… Nevermind, that small car haven’t been to KL for a very long time. Time to bring Suzie jalan-jalan. ( Just hope the car survive… ).

Which route did we take? If you refer to the map, it’s route no#1 – The road next to Tesco and in front of Melaka Sentral. If you follow the road straight all the way, you’ll end up in Kajang. >:) ( considering 1 left turn at a t-junction in Tampin as straight ).

From Melaka till Alor Gajah, the roads are nice – Big highway like roads. After that, pure kampung single lane road without lights. Yeap, extremely creepy route. Turn of my headlights for 1/2 secs and it became a super dark place in an instant. It’s too dark that highbeam is not enough.

Not used to play around with my highbeam ( ethics lesson: you need to turn off the beam when there’s a car coming towards you so you won’t blind him. Turn on your beam again after the car passed you ). I accidentally turned off my lights when there’s 2 car coming towards me!

Oh yeah, of course, we planned to play a trick on a motorcyclist behind us. He was behind us, and we plan to let him overtake him. While he’s in front of us, we planned to kill our lights and let the motorcyclist panic for awhile. Muahahahahaha…

Dammit, it’s just a plan. We didn’t really execute it.

Reached Seremban. Nice town. Then dark roads again. Dammit, massive road “upgrade-in-progress” all the way to Nilai. Almost hit a plastic barrier ( which most probably got hit by a car on the other side of the road ). Pot holes here and there worse than Melaka’s.

Then we reach Kajang. From there, it’s highway all-the-way to KL ( without paying any tolls of course ). Then yeah, reach KLCC somewhere around 4am. Kewlness.

Stop for awhile at the nearest 24hours McDonalds and HOLYSHIT MY ASS HURTS. Finally i can get out from the car and stretch my “flesh”. Then we need to get out from KL as soon as possible before traffic traps us.

Okay, until now we manage to reach KL without paying any tolls. I’m tired and I dun feel like driving anymore, so I let Aaron drive.

EH? What’s this? Plaza Toll Sungai Besi? WTF!?

Yep, we took the wrong turn. GAWD DAMMIT! So yeah, we didn’t manage to evade tolls from KL to Melaka. Aahh, that sucks. Nevermind, at least we managed to reach KL without paying any tolls.

On our way back to Melaka, we took different route because we wanna stop by at Port Dickson. We supposed to take night shots of KL but…. we arrived kinda late and lot buildings killed their shine generators. Bleh.

So, we took photo at teh PD only.

That particular beach in PD is kinda clean. I’m kinda surprised. Ok, now let’s get back home, everyone is pretty tired, i’m pretty sure.

We arrived in Melaka somewhere around 10am. After that I slept until 5pm.

Next time, we “might” try to reach Penang. Hehehehe.
