I’ve changed my blog engine last week and at it’s also the time where my old skin can’t be used anymore T_T

Being labeled as “graphic guy” by others, i feel uncool to use available themes without “modifying” it. I like to see my blog neat and clean and design neat skin is not hard at all… but the coding does.

Back in my blogger days, i modified my skin lightly and make sure it stays neat ( because blogger codes are… weird ).

Later, i used b2evolution (b2e) blog engine. The coding are not for beginners but at least i can understand it better than blogger’s. At first, i use available skins and modified it. Later, tried to create everything from the scratch. My previous 2 skin were created from the scratch.

Now, i switched to WordPress (WP). The codings are similar since both WordPress and b2e are using PHP. But WordPress’ coding are HOLYSHIT far more easier and extremely more systematic. It is similar but I’m not familiar with it. So, creating a new theme from the scratch would be a stupid thing for me to do since I’m still a n00b. So now, i modded Mandigo theme minimally. Stylesheets needed to be modify for backward compatibility purposes so that WP can understand my previous formatting style…. and it’s a pain in the ass… In the end, there’s nothing i can do about perfecting the “backward compatibility” thing. If you notice that the image boxes of previous posts looks weird… please ignore it. There’s nothing i can do about before i completely redesign the whole page ( actually, i can do something about it.. but i’m just too lazy to do it… )

So here’s my temporary theme: Mandigo Edo Custom. Simple ey?

If you’re wondering why i didn’t mod my previous ‘Ocean Mist’ theme, here’s why: the theme is not perfect. there’s defacts everywhere, like there’s no ‘previous posts’ link, the sidebar can’t be used properly, and search result maxs at 10. Too bad, it’s a good design though.

And one more thing, my rss feed link changed. Do update your aggregator.
