Malaysia International Fireworks Competition. Starting last night at Putrajaya.

We went late and got stuck in trafic jam, so couldn’t get any “good” shots of the “explosions”/”kaboom-ness” in the sky. That pic was taken by Aaron using my camera. Where was I and how come I’m not with my camera? Well, I was stuck in traffic jam, and I dropped my passengers off at Seri Wawasan bridge ( where the 3 lane bridge become 0.7 lane bridge ).

The fireworks started at 10pm but we managed to get that somewhere around 9.50 something because of “unforeseen” circumstances. My passengers who went out from the car earlier managed to see the fireworks on the bridge. I stuck at the traffic jam on the bridge for 5 mins. After that, it was a clear way until half-way to Putrajaya Convention Centre ( yep, very clear, I can even speed up to 100kph ). On the way driving there, I got a clear shot of the fireworks, but too bad, I’m driving. By the time I reached there ( I’m alone in the car that that time btw ), it was over. Ceh.

Getting there was a clear ride… getting back to the bridge was a 30 minutes traffic jam hell. There’s another fireworks shoot out tomorrow but were planned to came back that nite itself because other passengers have other plans on Sunday.

We are planning to go again on Merdeka night, and that would be a cool way to celebrate Malaysia’s 50th anniversary. “Killer Fireworks”. If you’re interested to know more, check out the official website here : http://www.mifc.com.my

  2. DAMN u got a sweet spot. I went there too, but was too close. Will probably try a diff spot next time. If you’re going let me know la.

Edo: Well, “they” got a sweet spot. I did get a sweeter spot but i can’t get any photos because I’m driving.

  3. Fi…fi…finally ! Edo had update his blog !

Nice ! Too bad little pictures and you got problems during that time ( traffic jam ).

With this I assume your not coming to our Merdeka Yum Cha session during Merdeka eve ? No problem with me, just make sure you snap more photos on that day ! :D

Edo: Come on, fireworks PWN regular yum cha sessions

  4. The sunday one was nothing. It was just 6 minutes fireworks. If u come bazir minyak je…. Though there will be more on Wednesday, Next Saturday and last on Merdeka eve, 30th August.

Khurshid: whats there with yum cha when u can enjoy more on the “not everyday” happening in Malaysia. The kedai minum wont run away one. LOLOLOL

It was not 6 minutes fireworks. It was somewhere nearing 20 minutes ( actually all the firework shootouts must be 20 mins ). Yeah, there will be more and we are coming for the Team Japan on Merdeka Eve. The last one is not on Merdeka eve btw.

  5. a’a, aku nak gi gak ri tu.. tapi aku ader meeting cyber p.. rugi :(

Edo: Auw, that sucks. But no worries, there’s still more ~

  6. Hmmm….. now I’m conflicted, should I go for this or the yum cha? Khurshid come here lah, then easy.

    Nice pic btw.

  7. I rather enjoy the pictures than experienced it. Maybe due to that it will be better if you’re the one that do the launching of the fireworks? XD Heck, that picture looks good.

NaviX : I’ll stuck at Melaka either ways. ;(

  8. I couldn’t understand some parts of this article MIFC : Malaysia International Fireworks Competition, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
