The Delayed Delayed Stories : The Escape from Melaka

My training ended on the 4th of January.
Time to escape Melaka. GOODBYE MELAKA.
A very boring long post. Tried to simplified it. Tried.
Lol. Actually, I have no intention to drive out of Melaka that weekend. I wanted to take a nice rest and lazing around during the weekend. I woke up early too many times, and it’s payback time.
Too bad. There’s Comic Fiesta committee post mortem on the 5th, which means I had to drive up to KL. Well, not that bad. I get to get out from Melaka, which is good. Yes, trust me you non-Melakans : I don’t like going through my college days here too.
It kinda.. sucked. I go home using the same route. Seeing the same “scenery” over and over again ( I get to see developments in Melaka everyday ). Nearly the same place to go for food, movies, and shopping. I know that Cyberjaya people are suffering more than me and we have more “life” here than Cyber, but KL is like less than 50km away from em.
I’m BORED! I always wanted the feeling of being away from hometown sometimes, so you can have stories to tell during your journey or something. During holidays, I’m kinda “lonely” here. Come on. You non-Malaccans get to go back hometown, leaving me here alone. I know I get to see my family any day, but seriously and honestly I don’t miss em at all.. since I can see em any time. I want the “feeling” of missing them, can make me appreciate their existence even more than before. Uh, maybe me bit screw loose.
Anyway, I’m bored with Melaka, and it’s a nice opportunity to get out from this home state.
So yeah, I left Melaka on the 4th and drive up straight to Cyber with Aaron and Navin tagging along. Sent Aaron back to his home in Putrajaya and continued my journey to Cyberjaya.
Arrived in Cyberjaya, we picked up Ce-Yi and Ganaesh for dinner ( moar like supper ). Although Cyber is what Malaccans call a “Dead Town”, they have Old Town Coffee and Secret Recipe within walking distance ( shhhhhh… don’t tell em we have Jusco and cinemas 5 minutes away. shh.. ). Oh, let’s kill the supper details and move on to the next day.
Here comes the interesting part.
Meeting in Petaling Jaya at 1.30pm. So left Cyber at 12.30pm. I know, I know that PJ is not “that” far but ya know, “just in case” I lost. I don’t know where’s Ezel house was ( meeting place ), but I know how to get to the “landmark” noted in the “Getting Here” instructions. It was a school. So yeah, no problem getting to the school except some heavy traffic jam. Now, where’s the meeting place exactly? I had trouble looking for the correct lane now.
Petaling Jaya’s road numbers are extremely weird for Malaccans. So, I was totally stuck at the nearest road number available that I can find. Called Victor for help. Ok seriously, PJ road numbers are $%^#%^@#ly weird. Now I’m like on the “other” side of the road.
Other side of the road seems to be no big deal. We usually see that in housing areas. But this IS a big deal. There’s a GAWD FORBID divider in middle of the congested main road. Sigh. Fine, it’s ok. Victor told me to make a “U Turn” futher in front a bit. Ok. “U Turn”, no problem.
Apparently, we Malaccans have a different definition of “U Turn”. For most Malaccans, it means turn around to the opposite direction at the next junction. For KLites, it’s “go straight first, then turn right, go further in front bit, masuk some taman, turn here, turn there, sesat a bit and get back to the main road” or make an illegal turn around to the opposite direction at the next junction. Uh.. ok +_+
So, being a Malaccan, I have no guts to make the illegal U turn. The road was extremely congested and I might block the whole road. Scary. So, I made a
NOT.
I got stuck inside. It wasn’t a small taman road. It was another big road. GAWD. I suck. How am I supposed to turn around now? Uh, ok, there’s some small route here, let’s try to enter. Oopss, I sesat. GAHH!
In the middle of looking for a way out, Victor called to check on my position. While on the phone, I finally found the correct lane. YES!
Ok, now where the hell is the house!? Again, weird house numberings. Same case, I can find the nearest number and I can’t find his house. It was just a short lane, it’s not long at all! Called Victor again and finally found his house… Sigh, I suck.
Ok. Post mortem. Discuss this, discuss that. Dinner time.
We went to this place called “Food Foundry” nearby his house. This place… is GAWDLIKE AWESOME. It’s a simple restaurant with normal western food. Wait, I shouldn’t had use the word “normal” for the food. It’s GAWDLIKE food. This pwned the usual Family Heritage Restaurant in Bukit Beruang.
I’ve never tasted Chicken Gordon Bleu that awesome in my life. Gotta thank Naoko again for recommending me that bomb. I just can’t describe how good it was, it’s just… too good. T_T. Wait. Don’t trust my judgment in food that much. You see, I don’t go to “special” restaurant that much. Damn, I wish I was Jason.
Sorry, no pictures. The pictures I took with my phone doesn’t look nice as the real thing. Sad. Shouldn’t have left my camera in the car.
Dinner done. Now, back in the car. Time to decide. What should I do, what should I do? I don’t wanna go back to Melaka now. Don’t feel like to. Must hang out more.
Ok. Call anyone I know nearby, and it was Hisashi. Called him up and told me that he’s in PJ Section 14. Great, my grandma’s and Ce-Yi’s area. Met up with him in some cafe at Millennium Square. Oh yeah, I had problem looking for this place coz I don’t know what’s this place looks like although I’m really familiar with Section 14. I was in a shocking to find out that it was a new shopping complex, walking distance away from my grandma’s place. O_O
Ok, ever since my grandma past away few years ago only my aunty stays there now. So, I rarely went to place nowaways. Shocked.
Since, Ce-Yi back with her grandma’s place in PJ ( which co-incidentally lived in the same lane ) I tried to call her out. Too bad, she’s not answering her phone.
So yeah. I met Hisa at the cafe with Xeon. Tried to invite others, and later we ended up in some Cybercafe with Nerv, Heal, Teh-O, Tokiya, BMJ and his 2 random friends. We played Team Fortress 2 and DoTA.
Team Fortress 2 WAS FUCKING AWESOME. IT’S FUCKING AWESOME. IT’S EXTREME GOOD. DID I TELL YOU I WAS FUCKING AWESOME? YES, IT’S FUCKING AWESOME. Ok, this is compared to other multiplayer FPS I’ve played. Sure Unreal Tournament 3 is good, but this game gave me a fresh new experience. Yep, Yahtzee was right, it’s good.
Then we played DoTA, and it was the worse DoTA game ever. Period. We all keep on saying the game didn’t exist, and we didn’t play that game.
Went to yamcha at SS2 Murni, one awesome place. This is the second time I came to this place, first time was the 5 minute visit to Cyberjaya. I just lurve this place’s special blended fruit juice. It’s just… “special”.
Ok. Time to decide again now. Go back home, or stay until tomorrow. Bleh, stay until tomorrow lah. No fun going back that night. So yeah. Here’s my bunk-in options:
- My auntie’s place in PJ
- My auntie’s place in Klang
- Yuhi’s Place in Subang
- Hisashi’s place
I dun want my aunties to know that I’m around, and Yuhi’s place is kinda far ( and also would be rude if I just come to his house to sleep ). Since Hisa offered his place, so yeah.
The next day, Evil outing. Evil’s going back to Sarawak so the IRCfiesta peeps are having a farewell gathering for him. Me, Aiko, Dai, DMJ, Dusty, Kemu, Hisa, Tokiya, XY, Zend, Zymz and of course, Evil.

We went to this some middle eastern restaurant later for shisha session. Sorry, I dun remember the place’s name.. been delaying this post for too long d.

They’re all shisha-ing, only me and Aiko not. I’m not into the idea of filling up my lungs with carcinogens. It does smell nice. Damn. I only ordered 1 can of coke at that place. Need to save money or I won’t be driving back home using the PLUS highway.

Oh, how I wish Zend’s wearing his Hellboy costume that he wore during CF and do that at the same time. XD
Then it’s time to go back home. Left for Melaka and reached home somewhere around 5am. Dammit. Feel lifeless again. Bleh. Gah, time to face my assignments now. Got 2 days left to finish my industrial training report and presentation.

Must make sure my phone battery is fully charged whenever you’re around KL =_=
Love PJ even though the roads are awfully numbered. Hehe

I remember someone once published why the roads are unevenly numbered, but don’t worry! You’re not the only one who hates the numbering!

Food Foundry at Happy Mansion, Section 17? They serve copycat version of Mille Crepe, apparently. According to food bloggers, their food sucks and service is bad. They used to be better until they got a wee bit famous and increased their price. They have a branch in Bangsar Village, if not mistaken.
You can have not too bad Chicken Cordon Bleu at Asian Havana Cafe at Melaka Raya. RM15+, I think.

Must be some delay, Edo’s posts always appear in one big bulk at one time then never appear for a while.. then it goes again.
