GACC2009 Appreciation Dinner

Ahh, what other better way to appreciate the work of the GACC committees after all the hard work they contributed to the awesome event than saying “thanks”? Treat them to an awesome dinner, of course.
GACC2009 Appreciation Dinner was held at Mahkota Parade’s Seoul Garden. It’s the same place like previous year’s app dinner, only that this year we start a bit later due to fasting month.
So, that place was raided with 59 committees ( some didn’t manage to come ), and the GACC committees are NOT made out of quiet well behaved individuals ( or that would make GACC very dull ). So yeah, we were noisy. Very noisy. From random screams to failed yumseng attempts by the juniors, the place was unusually very lively.
Yes, we are crazy lunatics but we are not hungry enough to actually empty the raw food repositories.
I’m a sucker for meat, and Seoul Garden offers a lot of meat. Actually, those who’s seating with me are suckers for meat. Navin literally emptied “non-seasoned red meat” from the counter and placed it at our table. It was A LOT… but we have no problem finishing it ( although we got tired of it towards the end ).
… and I’m still haven’t gotten fat.
As if we are not crazy enough, Guan Da proposed a cooking competition – Iron Chef style. Guan Da, Navin and me took up the challenge – to make the best “nasi goreng” in 15 minutes. The chefs are allowed to have one kitchen helper : Navin choose the “IMBA” Mich, I naturally choose Usagi and Guan Da has his “morally supportive” Amber. I was so into it that I was really really really trying hard to win.
.. but damn. Navin has IMBA Mich, they won easily. Damn. Oh, Wilz was the judge – and I added stuff that he doesn’t like into my work of art. Damn. Damn you “cili padi” haters.
Navin later proposed an “ice cream eating competition”. Great, I’m not joining this one as I felt that I haven’t consumed enough meat. Mahes, took the challenge.
Navin won as he “dual-wielded” spoons while Mahes was suffering with only one spoon. Yeah, it wasn’t a fair competition from the start. It’s ok, we’re crazy so it’s doesn’t matter.
We stayed there until the shop closes at 10, but some of us had to stay there for a longer time to wait for Guan Da to “pay” the shop ( yes, we failed at running away because some of us became the shop’s hostages ). Some left early for bowling though ( hence the 40% group photo ).
A loud abnormal erratic individual with extreme interest in arts. A Maaya Sakamoto die-hard fan who worships Totoro. Blogs about random stuff that goes around him. Rarely blog, because lately he's just either too busy or just too lazy.

I’m not looking at the camera in the first pic. And Kai Wen proposed the ice cream competition, I just took the challenge. And Mahesh was give the option to dual wield too, he just chose no to.
